Shelly 1L Gen3 is a compact single-channel smart relay designed for lighting control in installations without a neutral wire. It fits discreetly behind any standard wall switch or inside an electrical wall box, making it the ideal solution for retrofitting older homes without rewiring.
Once installed, you can control your lights remotely from your phone, set schedules based on time or sunrise/sunset, create automation scenes, and integrate with your preferred smart home platform. The device works standalone on your local Wi-Fi network or through the Shelly Cloud service for remote access from anywhere.
A Shelly Bypass 1L/2L Gen3 (included in the package) must be connected in parallel to the load for LED and low-wattage bulbs. For incandescent lights, no bypass is needed. The device supports Matter via firmware update, enabling native integration with Apple HomeKit, Google Home, and Amazon Alexa without a hub.
Professional installation by a qualified electrician is recommended, as the device is connected to mains voltage. Always switch off the circuit breaker before installation.
