The Shelly BLU TRV is a smart thermostatic radiator valve head that puts precise, room-by-room heating control in your hands — without touching your boiler or hiring a plumber. Simply replace your existing radiator valve head and the device takes over, automatically adjusting hot water flow through the radiator to maintain exactly the temperature you set, down to ±0.1°C accuracy.
Control is available in multiple ways: turn the physical rotating knob directly on the valve for instant manual adjustment, or manage everything remotely from the Shelly Smart Control app. A built-in rotating digital display always shows the current target temperature and lets you adjust it without reaching for your phone. Boost mode rapidly warms up a room when you need heat quickly, and weekly scheduling keeps your home comfortable while avoiding unnecessary energy use throughout the day.
The Shelly BLU TRV connects via Bluetooth and Zigbee, and gains full Wi-Fi remote access and smart home integration when paired with the Shelly BLU Gateway Gen3 (sold separately or included in bundle packs). It also supports external temperature sensors — pair it with a Shelly BLU H&T placed in the centre of the room for significantly more accurate temperature readings than the valve’s own built-in sensor, which can be affected by heat from the radiator itself.
Two operating modes give you full flexibility: TRV mode for temperature-based automatic control, and manual valve mode where you set the valve opening percentage directly. It also supports a window-open detection function — when a compatible Shelly BLU Door/Window sensor detects an open window, the TRV automatically reduces heating to avoid wasting energy. Powered by two standard AA batteries included in the box, with a battery life of up to 2 years.
