Aqara Motion Sensor P1 (MS-S02)

Aqara Motion Sensor P1 is a compact Zigbee 3.0 motion and light sensor that detects body movement and ambient light levels in any room. When motion is detected — or when the light state changes — it instantly triggers notifications in the Aqara Home app or activates automations across your connected smart home devices.

With a 170° field of view covering up to 7 metres, and a versatile 360° adjustable stand, you can precisely aim the sensor at the exact area you want monitored — a bed, a doorway, a staircase, or an entire room. Three sensitivity levels let you tune detection distance to avoid false triggers. The configurable detection timeout (1–200 seconds) can be set directly from the app without any hardware changes.

The built-in light sensor enables light-aware automations — for example, turning on a lamp only when someone enters and the room is dark. The Motion Sensor P1 also supports the Aqara Home Alert System for security use: set away mode and receive local sound/light alarms and cloud notifications when motion is detected.

Powered by two CR2450 batteries included in the box, the sensor achieves up to 5 years of battery life. It supports OTA firmware updates, ensuring new features can be added without replacing the device. An Aqara Zigbee 3.0 hub is required and sold separately.
